Sentara is Hiring a Remote Director, Enterprise Project Management Office (remote)

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as Director, Enterprise Project Management.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is remote (within our remote states).

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3 years management experience required.
  • 3 years project management experience required.

Preferred:

  • 15 years in project management.
  • 5 years of project management leadership.
  • Project Management (PMP/PMI) certification.
  • Healthcare (large) Project Management experience.

Expectations for this Role:

Sentara Health is seeking Director, Enterprise Project Management. This director will be responsible for managing, executing, and supervising enterprise-wide projects approved by the executive leadership team. Executes implementation of multi-departmental, large-scale projects and ensures project alignment with the health plan's strategic initiatives. Investigates opportunities for operational improvements, streamlining and automation and makes recommendations based on findings. Manages operational and tactical aspects of the project, including financial and human resources. Individually manage projects as assigned by the VP, ePMO.

Additional Expectations:

  • Individually manage projects as assigned by the VP, ePMO.
  • Lead team of 5 project manager responsible for the execution of Sentara Health plan commercial projects.
  • Accountable for successful execution of Sentara Health plan Commercial projects as measured by 95% of projects delivered on-time and on-budget.
  • Meet or exceed all ePMO metrics such as staffing, execution, quality and other metrics defined by the VP, ePMO
  • Score greater than corporate average for all individual annual Engagement Survey scores.
  • Othe duties as assigned by VP, ePMO

This role will be required to lead one or more projects and also lead a team of project managers supporting Sentara's Healthplan Shared Services vertical.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) - Certification - Project Management Institute (PMI)

This role will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Individually manage projects as required by VP ePMO.
  • Lead a team of 5 project managers while scoring above the corporate average for Engagement Survey scores. This leader should be effective (greater than corporate average) with all of the individual annual Engagement Survey scores.
  • Accountable for successful execution of all projects in Sentara's Healthplan Shared Services vertical. Success is 95% projects meeting on-time and on-budget as set by corporate IO (initiative owners).
  • Meet or exceed ePMO metrics (as set by VP ePMO) for performance, project execution, staffing, quality and others.
  • Other duties as required by VP ePMO.
