Sentara Healthcare is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Cyber Security Product Manager.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is remote with occasional travel to Virginia.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product.
  • Demonstrated knowledge on technical topics, such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security. required.
  • Strong Commercial Background with experience of working with external customers, sales, and prior experience in building commercial offerings.
  • 8 years of relevant experience with a degree OR 10 years of relevant experience without a degree

Coordinate and monitor the scrum process from initiation through delivery. Serve as liaison between the product owner, development team, and management in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Ensure that team members understand project objectives. Maintain product backlog and release plan and facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals. Essential Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager will operate in lockstep with cyber security leadership to create a clear strategic direction for cyber commercial offerings and will collaborate with business functions, to develop commercial offerings as you take them through the product management life cycle. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders while delivering high quality revenue generating commercial offerings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and major, complex products.
  • Own the short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.
  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.
  • Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Engage frequently (80%) with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
  • Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
  • Routinely collaborate with UX, Architecture and engineering teams on multiple issues and decisions
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas.
  • Partner with the business owner to ensure healthy development process.
  • Be regarded as an expert in Agile Methodology; translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning.
  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering team.
  • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge and helps organization gain a competitive edge.
  • Provide technical leadership from a product management perspective.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing decisions.

Qualifications / Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 10 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product
  • Strong Commercial Background with experience of working with external customers, sales, and prior experience in building commercial offerings.
  • Bachelor's Level Degree
