SENTA Partners is Hiring an Audiology Technician Near Louisville, KY

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Audio Assistant/Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering hearing tests and providing support to patients with hearing-related concerns. Working closely with audiologists and other healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in diagnosing hearing impairments and ensuring patients receive appropriate care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer hearing tests, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions (OAE) tests, following established protocols and procedures.
Prepare patients for hearing tests, explain procedures, and address any questions or concerns to ensure their comfort and understanding.
Calibrate and maintain audiometric equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
Assist audiologists and other healthcare providers in conducting diagnostic evaluations and interpreting test results.
Document test results, patient information, and other relevant data accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Provide support to patients with hearing aids, including fitting, maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments as needed.
Educate patients and their families on hearing conservation, hearing aid use, and communication strategies to improve quality of life.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and referrals to specialists as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Stay current with advancements in audiometric testing techniques, hearing aid technology, and healthcare policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in audiology, speech-language pathology, or related field preferred.
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably in audiology or hearing care.
Knowledge of audiometric testing procedures and equipment, including familiarity with audiometers, tympanometers, and otoscopes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Empathy, patience, and compassion in working with individuals experiencing hearing loss or related challenges.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in administering tests and maintaining accurate records.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
Proficiency in using computer software for data entry, EMR systems, and basic office tasks.
Certification as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) or similar credential is a plus.
