About the Role:

Sensible Care is now hiring a full-stack developer who will help us build and maintain our tele-therapy and medical records system. The ideal candidate will be a team player excited to join a group of like-minded, talented people who are inclusive, respectful, and thoughtful and who value fresh ideas and want to tackle hard problems. Our current tech stack is primarily PHP/Laravel, Vue, and Postgres, deployed to Linode, though this may change as we expand. While this post is for a mid-level developer, we are open to hiring at other levels for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do:

The key responsibility of this position is to develop end-to-end solutions for our clients and for internal use. You will be working with a small group of developers and project leaders and join the team that is tasked with building the systems that will allow our nationwide expansion. If you're on the fence or unsure if you’ll meet the requirements, please apply if you can:

• Write front-end and back-end code have a solid grasp of coding best practices
• Enhance and support our legacy code base (written in PHP)
• Use a framework to create performant, reliable HTTP-based APIs (such as Laravel).
• Wire APIs to a modern front-end framework (we use Vue.js)
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and understand the importance of testing.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot your systems in staging and production environments.

What You Need:

• 3 years of hands-on, production-level software development experience (preferably with some experience in our stack: PHP/Laravel, Vue.js)
• Familiarity with git and understanding of the basics of CI/CD
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• A willingness to take initiative and ownership in a small-company environment
• The ability to work remotely in an efficient manner
• Healthcare or HealthTech industry experience is a plus, but not required
