Are you a dedicated and caring individual with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of older adults and/or people with disabilities?
Senior Solutions (Council on Aging for Southeastern VT, Inc.), a non-profit agency serving Windham and Windsor Counties in Vermont, is looking for a passionate, customer focused Office Manager to join our dedicated team. This position will provide administrative support for the Executive Director and staff. Reporting to our Office Administrator Manager, you will assist our helpline in taking calls and completing intake information in our system.
Job Description Summary:
Office Manager to provide administrative support for the Executive Director and staff. This is a full-time position, with full benefits, in our office in Springfield, VT. The position requires independent judgement to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
 Responsibilities:
  • Answers the telephone, directs calls, opens, and distributes the mail, order supplies and handle other clerical duties.
  • Assist in planning and organization of meetings and conferences, including selection of venue and caterer, preparation of agenda, and making travel arrangements for staff.
  • Creates and develops visual presentations as required.
  • Communicate with landlord regarding building issues.
  • Assist the Helpline team with intakes.
  • Work independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects.
Qualifications:
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; writing sample required.
  • Detail oriented, committed to excellence.
  • Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel). Familiarity with Salesforce, Acrobat, and infographics software a plus.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (printers, fax machines, personal computers, postage machines, telephone system)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and effectively work under pressure.
  • Proven time management skills; a self-starter
  • Able to handle confidential information with complete discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, plus a minimum of three years' experience as an administrative assistant or office administrator, preferably in a human service environment.
  • Personable, professional, articulate, and willing to learn.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must possess the physical capabilities to perform the following: reaching, handling, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
  • Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks.
  • Recordkeeping and administrative work are normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
