If offer of employment is made it will be contingent upon passing all of the following: Drug Test, Background Check, ITAR and U.S. Export Compliance Screening.What does the job involve?Summary: Able to operate various types and sizes of hand or power brakes, bending and forming sheet metal parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Ability to operate various types of machines: Sizing, planisher and power brakes.
- Operates power brake to form various types of flat metal stock such as banding, making joggles, and angle bends.
- May finish-form partially formed punch press, hydro press, and drop hammer parts.
- Recognizes improper functioning of press and reports condition to supervisors.
- Assist other operators as needed.
- Performs rework, repair and other associated operations described.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 1-2 years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions.
- Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Other Abilities: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Hand tools, measuring instruments and templates.
- Lubricants, Ferrous and non-ferrous metals and their alloys in the form of flat and shaped parts.
- Access to our facility and therefore employment is restricted under the international Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/ or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the United States and properly licensed foreign persons.
