The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supervising and supporting general warehouse functions and ensuring efficient supply chain management. This role primarily involves overseeing warehouse operations, including receiving duties, inventory control, and compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and guide warehouse associates in performing tasks such as receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas for efficient operations.
• Safely operate forklift equipment and other warehouse machinery, providing training and assistance to team members as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company and OSHA safety regulations throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, leading by example in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager to optimize order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Coordinate with team members to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently, monitoring performance and providing guidance.
• Occasionally provide driving support for intra-company material pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Safely transport goods using company vehicles, maintaining a clean driving record at all times.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for shipments and deliveries.
• Support the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager in overseeing warehouse-related tasks and addressing any issues that arise.
• Mentor and train new warehouse associates to ensure a cohesive and productive team.
• Communicate effectively with the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse operations.
• Lead by example in promoting teamwork, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills among warehouse associates.
• Other duties as requested by business need.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Forklift certification or ability to be trained to safely operate forklift equipment.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Consistent and regular attendance is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED FOR POSITION:

• Experience in receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and processes.
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
• Experience with inventory management systems or software.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES REQUIRED FOR ROLE:

• Possession of a valid state driver license (or ability to obtain one).

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, push cartons across a skate conveyor; stoop, kneel, and is occasionally required to crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to access product on floor or low shelves; and may operate a hand truck, pallet jack to move materials.

The employee must occasionally lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place:

• Pallets from floor onto side, move up to 10 feet and return to original position at a weight up to 35 lbs.
• Cartons onto a cart to move materials within the fulfillment areas.

The employee must frequently lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place:

• Boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. from 5 inches off the ground up to 36 inches high and return to original position.
