Primary Purpose

This internship will provide hands-on support to the SI Capital Project Solutions team in maintaining the quality of CPS resources and services to the organization. It requires active involvement and cooperation with various organizational levels and departments. This internship offers an opportunity to learn the SI Capital Value Process (CVP) which is a structured approach for planning and evaluating business opportunities. The CVP is a multi-staged process with each stage having a clear set of deliverables that guide the scope and quality of development activities throughout the definition, execution, and operation phases of capital projects. Moreover, interns will have the opportunity to utilize their academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, showcase their potential, and work with organization staff to meet daily business requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review Capital Value Process training and develop basis understanding. Work to improve Training.
• Support CPS Guideline and Template improvements initiatives.
• Support CPS team to organize materials, prepare and facilitate Assurance planning, Assurance kick off, Assurance reviews, and report finalization.
• Work with Software (ClickUp) to generate reports, dashboards, etc.
• Learn Best Practices and Learnings summaries by function.
• Support to CPS Associates and Advisors to gain front-row experience on Capital Projects.
• Present achievements and knowledge learned to departmental leads and executive leadership at the summer's conclusion.
• Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree - Sophomore, Junior or Senior-level student in an accredited college with degree major in engineering, finance, business or related degree.

Experience

• 0-1 years of experience with creating reports for distribution in concise and easily understandable formats preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be proficient in Microsoft project tools - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills to effectively track, report, and manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
