The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of the Physicians. This position will be working in a clinic setting with our Endovascular team.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who can: 

- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations

- Interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests

- Interprets and correlates subjective and objective data

- Formulates a differential diagnosis, establishing a working diagnosis

- Develops a treatment plan for the endovascular conditions within the scope of practice and in conjunction with the Neurosurgeon

- Implements therapeutic intervention for specific conditions, where appropriate

- Exercises judgement on conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising neurosurgeon or other healthcare providers

- Will conduct daily clinics providing necessary follow-up for endovascular patients

- Makes daily hospital rounds on all stroke alert and neuro interventional hospital consults and documents assessment plan in medical record

- Maintains a database of all treated patients

- To coordinate the weekly cases conference and ensure that conference recommendations are entered into the SMC medical record

Minimum Requirements:

- Current Tennessee license for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

- Currently BLS and ACLS certification
