Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. The landmark casino is now home to over 1,000 state-of-the-art, newest-title slot machines and other local favorites such as Diamond Lottos, Fort Knox, Pirate’s Loot. Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Policies and Procedures.
• Oversee an independent analysis of Slot performance and expenditures including implementation of floor optimization strategies in conjunction with the Slot Operations Department.
• Oversee an independent analysis of Marketing initiatives and expenditures with a focus on tracking and gauging effectiveness in detail
• Manage and develop a team of Analysts to support the business units
• Coordinates and supports business and financial planning, including short and long term financial forecasting. Assists in the development and monitoring of service level agreements.
• Supports the annual budget process.
• Supports the Capital Expenditure process
• Assists in assessing and communicating financial and operating results to managers.
• Responsible for monthly executive financial reporting requirements.
• Develops appropriate financial and operating metrics for use by management in decision making.
• Ensures departmental goals and performance measures are understood and achieved by managers.
• Evaluates and develops financial analysis tools to assess growth, investment or liquidation options.
• Participates in the assessment of current systems and business processes for adequacy and consistency.
• Develops financial and operating statements. Assists and/or presents information.
• Supports review meetings with managers to identify and implement process improvements.
• Communicates effectively with all levels of management.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Such other duties and functions as may be required by the President/General Manager or Vice President/Director of Finance.
• Prepare and/or oversee the accounting function of month end close, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, business or accounting.
• Master’s Degree and/or professional certification are preferred.
• Expertise (ability to build and support reports/analytical tools) in the following programs is highly valued: Excel, Cognos, SQL, Word, Powerpoint and Infinium
• Two to four 4 years of financial analysis experience in the Gaming/Hospitality industry.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
