Semcor Manufacturing is Hiring a Production Administrator Near La Porte, IN

Semcor is an ever growing company looking to add to their Production Administrator team.

Summary/Objective: A Production Administrator is responsible for managing the administrative aspects of all the workflow through our shop. These individuals will work closely with our engineering and production leadership to ensure that each project is managed in a smooth and efficient manner.

Semcor is a small, job-shop manufacturer of specialty equipment for the entertainment industry. While implementing two new product lines we need candidates that are very detailed, organized, and able to manage time and priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain system (JobBOSS, QuickBooks) information on Semcor employees, customers, vendors, and other data for Semcor operations.
  • Research job costs and create job cost reports as required.
  • Plan, forecast, research costs of, and place orders for raw materials including steel hardware, gasses, and other items needed to ensure proper stock for all jobs/projects.
  • Create and track purchase orders in the system for all orders placed.
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute all necessary project or job materials.
  • Ensure successful completion of these jobs.
  • Receive shipments of materials, entry into the system, and coordinate delivery to end user or stock location. Organize material storage when necessary.
  • Assist with preparation and delivery of customer quotes.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and track inventory levels and changes.
  • Create and send invoices to customers, create shipping tickets, and coordinate delivery of completed jobs.
  • Serve as liaison for production floor employees, answering questions, solving issues, or assisting with product or job needs, etc.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 year of administrative experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Prior experience with manufacturing industry preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
