SELLERS & ASSOCIATES is Hiring a Vice President of Business Development Near Chesapeake, VA

S&A is currently seeking a Vice President of Business Development with the knowledge, skills, and experience to effectively execute growth goals. The ideal candidate should be located in the Hampton Roads Area, Plant City, FL, or San Diego, CA or surrounding cities. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Business Development will play a key role in developing and implementing a sustainable growth plan aligned with S&A’s core competencies.

The VP of Business Development will guide collaborative processes to coordinate technical and pricing proposal development in response to RFPs, including technical narratives, task responses, management plans, and pricing. Travel requirements are estimated at approximately 20-40% for customer calls, capture execution, industry events, teaming, and other internal and external meetings.

Responsibilities are listed below:

  • Lead, manage, and execute business development actions such as opportunity qualification, capture, proposal readiness, and bid and proposal development.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, conduct market analysis, assess procurement opportunities, and manage the qualification review process.
  • Oversee the capture process, proposal readiness, and engage with bid and proposal stakeholders.
  • Provide a combination of project/program management and business development support in the DoD industry as a contractor.
  • Target, identify, and qualify business that aligns to S&A's mission and growth goals.
  • Provide post reward transition and execution support.
  • Manage an broad scope of customers and clients throughout different geographies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • At least 15 years of experience in business development and management
  • Experience in management, and execution of prime contracts and subcontracts is required.
  • Experience across a combination of any of the following DoD and/or FEDCIV organizations is required: U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Department of Homeland Security, and/or Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, relationship development, analytical, problem solving, organizational, and schedule management experience is required
  • Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in relevant field
  • Experience with OTAs and/or SBIRs is preferred, but not required.
