Overview:

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst ensures the quality and reliability of software products. This role involves taking the lead on designing and executing test plans, reporting software defects, and collaborating with product development teams on testing new features for application releases.
Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)

Test Planning and Execution:

• Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and design specifications.
• Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Automate regression tests and script test data and test environment setup to improve test execution efficiency.
• Design and implement test strategies for large projects and/or system level testing.

Defect Management:

• Identify and report defects, working closely with development teams to prioritize and verify fixes in a timely manner.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases and test results.
• Develop and update testing metrics for quality dashboards to measure progress towards improvements in testing coverage and reducing bug escapes to customers.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to coordinate testing and release objectives.
• Participate in project and sprint planning, risk assessment, and release management activities.
• Coordinating testing across multiple projects and delegating work as needed to other testers
• Champion SDLC and quality best practices

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for quality improvement and efficiency gains within assigned projects.
• Research new tools and technologies to improve and expand testing capabilities.

Background:

• 5 years of experience in software quality assurance
• Experience in testing methodologies and test management tools
• Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using SQL to query databases and using tools to interact with APIs
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Demonstrated programming and test automation skills using modern tools like Selenium/Appium, Playwright, Webdriver.io, or similar
