The Senior Manager of Global Consumer Insights will be responsible for design, implementation, and analysis of marketing research to provide consumer insights for Anytime Fitness around the world as well as understanding the global Wellness market as an industry. You will act as a strategic consultant through the use of primary and secondary research approaches. You will be the Consumer Advocate for our organization providing grounding in consumer research for actionable insights that help guide brand strategy. This position will be responsible for independently monitoring brand performance and identifying opportunities for growth, conducting research to assess and optimize advertising, marketing programs, and closely monitoring category/ industry trends and competitive performance.

A successful candidate will bring creative solutions for the collection and analysis of consumer trends, behaviors, and preferences with a keen eye on understanding global implications for brand strategy. As a SME of Insights you will bring proficiency in custom market research, data analysis, and secondary research resources. You'll lead global insights projects, showcasing your passion for understanding diverse cultures and markets. While this position is in the Marketing Department, you will need to collaborate closely with multiple teams and be able to effectively communicate relevant research findings for global executives. You will also need to be equally comfortable with managing relationships with market research vendors who provide a variety of consumer insights both quant and qual.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or Master’s strongly preferred.
  • At least 10-12 years of experience in a consumer insights/market research role with familiarity working for global/ international brands or markets.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; must be able to juggle multiple projects at once and remain flexible as priorities may change based on business needs.
  • Ability to direct and harness consumer segmentation to serve as the voice of the consumer to shape brand experiences.
  • Creativity in suggesting out-of-the-box research solutions to best solve business challenges.
  • Must have advanced skills in Excel - Pivot Tables and Advanced Formatting and understanding of statistics programs such as SPSS, SAS, R, or other similar applications for analysis.
  • Experience with custom research, survey software (ex. Qualtrics, QuestionPro), online focus groups and methodologies such as conjoint/ MaxDiff, pricing strategies, factor analysis, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with the ability to design and execute research from the ground up. Familiarity with marketing research measurement techniques, practices, and theories.
  • Advanced proficiency writing up research reports, communicating results, and how to use research findings to “tell a story.”
  • Secondary language proficiency a big plus
