JOB TITLE: Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

LOCATION: (Deer Valley) Phoenix AZ 85027

DURATION: 12 MONTHS CONTRACT (Possible extension for long term based on work performance and attendance.

SHIFT/DAYS: 1^st – Mon – Fri - 8am-5pm

Pay rate: $60/hour on W2.

Hybrid Schedule - 3 onsite/2 remote

Interviews: 1 phone/TEAMS, then 1 more technical interview ONSITE.

• Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Aerospace Communication, Navigation and Surveillance product line. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be involved in every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life.
• The Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) reduces the risk of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) by providing flight crews with timely, accurate information about terrain and obstacles in the area. The system uses various aircraft inputs and an internal database to predict and warn flight crews of potential conflicts with obstacles or terrain. Additional features include SmartRunway and SmartLanding systems, developed to help flight crews avoid potential runway incursions and excursions.

• As a Systems Engineer for the Multi-Platform EGPWS Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) Systems Core Development program within Aero business, you will contribute to the team as a Systems Engineer and grow and expand your skills on exciting new projects. You will contribute to proposals to address future business opportunities, provide your ideas for problem solving and be part of a product and team that has a positive impact on aviation safety.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering

• 6 years Aerospace Experience doing Systems Engineering work

• US citizenship

• Aircraft Systems knowledge or piloting background

• Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System(EGPWS) or TAWS experience

• Aviation Safety experience or knowledge

• FAA Regulations and industry standards knowledge

• ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 knowledge

• Agile development process knowledge and experience

• TSO, STC and Aircraft Type Certification knowledge and experience

• Interest and commitment to aviation safety

DOORS, TeamCenter, ClearCase/ClearQuest, Jira, BitBucket, etc

• Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle

Previous Aerospace Experience desirable.
