Select Physical Therapy in Kissimmee FL has an immediate need for an outpatient orthopedic PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Join our large multidisciplinary clinical team of PTs, PTAs, and OTs treating a diverse population of all ages. Additional specialties include neurology, vestibular, concussion, sports medicine, amputees, industrial (FCEs and POETs) and hand therapy on top of general ortho. Previous experience in OP ortho and/or bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS but not required. We can consider a new graduate physical therapist assistant (LPTA) with FL license. Per diem is as needed coverage and we can be flexible for late afternoons, evenings (until 7pm) and half day weekend coverage. We have multiple OP ortho locations nearby able to consider additional hours as our coverage needs and your availability meet!

Center Hours: Monday - Thursday 7AM- 7PM, Friday 7AM-6PM, Saturday 7AM-1PM

Schedule: as needed coverage during our hours of operation. 

Compensation: Starting at $27/hr for new grads! Starting hourly rate increases with experience! 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
• Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
• State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
