Our client is a top of the industry hedge fund based out of Chicago that is looking for an early career Quantitative Research Engineer. This role directly interacts with the head of the Research Group developing user friendly portfolio construction analytics mainly using Python and JavaScript. While having strong development fundamentals and forecasting modeling background is key, the candidate must also have strong business acumen.
Strong Candidates Will Have
- 2 years working in a data science type role directly interacting with business stakeholders on imperative business decisions
- Strong development fundamentals with expertise in Python and JavaScript developing user friendly analytical projects
- A degree from a top university ideally in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or Computer Science
