SeeScan is Hiring an Electro-Mechanical Assembler Near San Diego, CA

About this position

SeeScan is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler with prior electro-mechanical and troubleshooting experience to assist on our Cable Line. Our ideal candidate is a team player who demonstrates a commitment to performing quality work.

This position pays $20-$23/hour, depending on experience.

Our company culture

Working at SeeScan is unlike working for other companies of our size. While we have the stability of a larger company—we’ve been in business for 40 years and sell our products worldwide—the SeeScan environment feels like a smaller, tight-knit community. Our casual, people-first culture goes hand-in-hand with our focus on the talent and potential of our employees. Our investment in employee success is reflected in the longevity of most of our team – more than half of us have been here for over five years, and nearly a third have been here for over ten. We’ll give you the tools you need to succeed, and we want to see you grow with us.

What we’re looking for

Across our organization, we’re looking for people who embody our values of continuous learning, passion, and fairness. Whether you’re designing the latest tech, building our products on the production floor, or keeping our business running and profitable, we want people who approach problems with a can-do attitude and who are eager to be part of a team. Our goal is to create the best products in our industries – as a privately-owned company, we place excellence first, and we seek employees who will help us continue our trend of sustainable growth and innovation.

In this position, you will

  • Assemble electronic and mechanical components using small- and large-scale tools such as tweezers, pliers, and torque wrenches
  • Solder parts and assemblies
  • Work within a team to assemble smaller components as part of a larger assembly
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including maintenance of work area and equipment

Background and experience

  • Experience in soldering and connector termination
  • Experience assembling electronic, structural, and mechanical subassemblies in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools (manual and motorized)
  • Knowledge of QA protocols for assembly workers
  • Knowledge of IPC standards a plus

About you

  • Able to lift and move up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings or other informational materials
  • Proficient in general computer use
  • Comfortable working in an industrial/warehouse environment with background noise, safety process requirements, and dynamic communication

We offer

  • A position within an established company with 40 years in business
  • A culture of transparency, growth, and innovation
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) investment options
  • Flexible Paid Time Off plan with no cap or “use it or lose it” requirement

We are looking for a long-term, in-house team member to join us, not a contractor or consultant.
