SeeScan is Hiring a Manufacturing Floor Supervisor Near San Diego, CA

About this position

SeeScan is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Floor Supervisor to join the Manufacturing team and help coordinate the efforts of our production morning shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM). Our ideal candidate has experience working in manufacturing and knows how to ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality.

Your mission

In this position, your mission will be to lead manufacturing with a team of around 40 employees, ensuring the successful execution of our day-to-day activities. You will oversee the on-time manufacturing of our plumbing diagnostic and utility locating equipment at the highest possible quality. You will additionally be responsible for improving the efficiency of labor, materials, and machines while ensuring increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction. Our ideal candidate is an experienced and driven leader who will champion continuous improvement efforts within our organization.

In this position, you will

  • Help run day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Direct, teach, coach, and train manufacturing employees
  • Supervise manufacturing employees, including giving performance reviews and participating in hiring
  • Monitor and administer attendance and time off
  • Help out on production lines when employees are absent or the plant is shorthanded with workers
  • Ensure conformance of finished product to company, industry, and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency
  • Maintain shop floor metrics, visual controls, and continuous improvement methods on the manufacturing floor
  • Coordinate with senior management on issues and process improvement

Your background

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and improvement processes
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts: 5S, 8 Waste, and one-piece flow
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a Lead or Supervisor position
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate difficult conversations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Able to effectively manage time and resources and implement change
  • Able to function in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
  • Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Computer literate with experience in Word and Excel

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $67,000 to $85,000 annually.

This range represents a good faith estimate based on the qualifications we expect to find in a successful candidate. Actual compensation offered may be less or greater than this estimate based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, our assessment of your ability to bring value to our organization.
