Sedona Winds Assisted Living & Memory Care is Hiring an Executive Director Near Sedona, AZ

BROAD SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for overall operations of the Community in accordance with government regulations, residents’ needs and rights, corporate policies and procedures. Must maintain excellent standards of service, quality, safety, and cleanliness and meet all corporate occupancy and financial goals.

Salary will be based on the candidate's level of experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with community and corporate staff in planning and carrying out all aspects of community operations
  • Monitor each department, communicate and interpret policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback and assist, coach, and discipline staff as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in community
  • Maintain current knowledge of State regulations and ensure 100% compliance in all areas
  • Understand and comply with all issues and regulations regarding residents’ rights
  • Staff community appropriately maintaining a high level of community and team spirit
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies
  • Maintain low level of staff turnover
  • Ensure training and incentive programs are in place and working properly
  • Manage the budget
  • Monitor all department costs keeping within established guidelines
  • Work with corporate and community accounting department to regulate payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and manage and safeguard all community funds
  • Keep abreast of current market trends
  • Develop and implement marketing plan
  • Maintain maximum occupancy
  • Develop positive community relationships in all areas

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs other duties as assigned

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Certified as an Assisted Living Manager according to Arizona Rules and Regulations/Department of Health Services Licensure Division
  • Provide evidence of freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis
  • Pass a criminal record clearance (fingerprints or other evidence of clearance)
  • Able to communicate with residents, physicians, medical professionals, family members and local community and government agencies
  • Provide evidence of first aid training for adults and be currently certified in CPR for adults including providing documentation or a demonstration of the ability to perform CPR

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must meet requirements of certification as an Assisted Living Manager
  • Must complete, or provide evidence of completion of, a Department approved training program for managers of Assisted Living Facilities as appropriate to the facility license and sub classification or provide evidence of competency
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years college
  • Public relations background helpful

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five years working in a managerial position with hire-fire authority.
  • Two years experience in managing financial controls or budgets.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a facility or agency that provides health or health related services and is licensed, certified or approved by a state in the United States; the professional field of nursing, social work, gerontology or a closely related field; or has experience in providing direct, hands on care to one or more adults.

SPECIAL SKILLS OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good people skills required.
  • Ability to handle staffing and employee issues.
  • Computer literate within the boundaries of job requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be licensed in accordance with any state regulations.
  • Able to respond to emergencies of all kinds.
  • Must be able to work full time and be available seven days a week/24 hours per day.
