The platform is built on a cloud native architecture and leverages the power of the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Position Summary:

At Securonix, we design, build, and run the leading enterprise security solutions. Our team is responsible for building UEBA, SIEM, Threat Hunting and Detection engineering applications using leading-edge statistical data science, AI/ML technologies. Our SaaS Operations team is accountable for running SaaS platforms & software built on leading-edge technologies. We focus on operational excellence, and we attract the best talent in our industry. This position requires an exceptional blend of technical acumen, leadership, and understanding of the unique cybersecurity challenges of our customers. The VP will be responsible for shaping the future operational architecture and infrastructure necessary to operate & support a highly scalable, highly-available, multi-tenant and microservices-based SaaS platform. This role demands a high level of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership abilities. At the same time, they will also be responsible for maturing our existing incident and problem management processes to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. The top candidates would have demonstrated strong technical and organizational skills in managing a globally distributed team of 100 engineers. They should have the ability to influence decision-making processes and work with the senior leadership team

Responsibilities:

  • Build necessary infrastructure & tooling, operate & support a highly-scalable, highly-available, microservices-based SaaS platform using AWS.
  • Responsible for managing the SaaS operations and support for our global customers
  • Build operations and support playbooks that can be consumed across the global SaaS organization for triaging, recovering, root cause analysis, and overall problem management.
  • Own automation for SaaS operations. Responsible for building and managing service availability, performance, and scalability in customer environments to achieve customer-defined SLAs
  • Define, measure, and meet KPIs to meet customer-defined SLAs: ensure uptime and performance, create predictive alerting, monitor dashboards, and resolve playbooks for handling anticipated issues.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to ensure high-quality products are developed and operated in production.
  • Recruited, managed, and motivated a strong SaaS Operations team to operate best-in-class service offerings for Securonix customers.
  • Work closely with the architecture and security teams to define and implement enterprise-grade operations and support practices.

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science/engineering or related field. MS in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of hands-on technical experience, along with strong management and communication skills.
  • 10 years of experience in building enterprise or cloud software infrastructure & tooling.
  • 10 years of experience operating and supporting a large-scale SaaS platform and application footprint.
  • Deep understanding and experience working with modern Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud). 
  • AWS Certifications are strongly preferred. Experience in AWS VPC, EC2, EMR, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes are a big plus. Proficiency with log monitoring & analytics tools.
  • Experience running a world-class Operations organization and managing on-call 24x7 rotation teams to serve global customers.
  • Experience building, scaling & monitoring infrastructure needed for SaaS-based applications and services.
  • Experience in creating a strong and passionate operations & support culture that is customer-focused and quality-driven.
  • Prior experience working in a globally distributed organization.
