Securityplus Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Business Services Specialist Near Windsor, MD

Description

This position is responsible for providing expertise and support for all business services deposit and loan accounts, while maintaining strong relationships with business members, internal credit union team members, and third-party vendors. This position will be responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all essential information for opened business accounts and loans. The Business Services Specialist will provide necessary guidance and training to team members in the Contact Center and in the retail branches, regarding the entire process for business deposit and loan accounts. This position will also ensure that all third-party vendors are accurately doing their due diligence, regarding all aspects of the member business loan (MBL) process. These responsibilities are done within all credit union policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Performs quality control on all business account and loan documents, verifying that all completed information is accurate and meets necessary guidelines for an account opening and a loan approval.
  • Orders and reviews required reports, relating to member business loans; but, not limited to account number reports, appraisal reports, credit reports, document preparation, environmental questionnaires & reports, flood certifications, title reports, and UCC filings.
  • Prepares and uploads the initial member business loan file to underwriting and responsible for satisfying any outstanding underwriting stipulations.
  • Partners with external and internal members, credit union approved vendors, settlement agents, and other entities to resolve all problems that may arise during the member business loan transaction, in a timely manner.
  • Satisfies any member business loan post-closing matters like, but not limited to: annual reviews, member follow up calls, completion of required documentation, business account and business loan servicing matters, and updating any pertinent information (regarding the business or the member).
  • Assists with training credit union team members regarding required documentation, policies & procedures, overall processing of accounts & loans, and responding to any business-related matters, regarding business services and member business loans.
  • Answers business related inquiries like, but not limited to business services, deposit & loan products, interest rates, processing statuses, and management inquiries.
  • Completes and/or verifies thorough analysis reviews, on individual businesses and individual members, to ensure that all compliance, credit union, and federal & local regulatory guidelines are being met, via, but not limited to: Customer Due Diligence Questionnaire (CDD), Chex Systems, SDAT public reporting, and Verafin, on all new business accounts and new business loans.
  • Manages key dates; but, not limited to service level agreements with third-party vendor(s) and underwriting, credit & loan documentation, and other required local and federal compliance related dates.
  • Identifies cross sell opportunities and conducts outbound calls (on an occasion), to increase business production, on an as-needed basis.
  • Attends business-related events to expand the credit union’s business brand in surrounding communities, when needed.
  • Cross trains to help with other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as instructed or assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
  • Two or more years’ experience working with business accounts and loans, required.
  • Experience with financial institution core and loan origination system, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office solutions, preferred.
