Securitas Security Services is Hiring a Compliance Manager Near Burbank, CA

JOB SUMMARY

The Compliance Manager supports development and monitoring of the Company safety programs to minimize and eliminate events caused by unsafe acts. This position is responsible for working with all employment levels to identify, analyze, and resolve safety issues, and to address differences between the company safety programs and local, client site programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • In performing functions, duties, or tasks, employees are required to know and follow safe work practices and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Employees are required to notify superiors upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions.
  • All functions, duties, or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical, and professional manner and are to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
  1. Conduct periodic audits on personnel files, client files, state guard card licensing records and DOJ records. 
  2. Conduct site assessments for new contracts, or whenever new requests for service provision are submitted by the client.
  3. Develop and assist in the implementation of the client’s site safety program as related to officer assigned roles and responsibilities, and Securitas site specific programs including the site specific Injury Illness Prevention Program, Heat Illness Prevention Program, Post Orders, etc.
  4. Assist in development and implementation of safety training programs for Securitas employees.
  5. Interact with the security force in a manner which enhances and improves safety performance, morale and skills.
  6. Enforce and comply with all Securitas policies, Federal & State Regulations, and Client programs
  7. Assist with the development of Company safety goals
  8. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS

  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain any specific special clearances/access requirements
  • Must be able to travel frequently
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university, additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing)

  • Knowledge of security operations and human performance procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances
  • Ability to communicate through written and verbal methods in a professional manner
  • Ability to read and understand Federal and State governmental regulation requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with all levels of client organizations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to organizational changes
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications
  • Ability to establish and build rapport with new personnel and clients

WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients and staff, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • May be required to work beyond scheduled work hours, weekends and holidays without advance notice.
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Speak and hear sufficiently to communicate in person and by phone
  • Maintain visual ability including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling and crouching
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • May be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment, gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others
  • May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information
