Purpose of the Position:
This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE or .8 FTE) for a mental health professional who will be providing a combination of clinical supervision and therapy in our outpatient clinic. Clinical supervisors are leaders at SBCC who offer supervision to clinical trainees and practicum students who are working to become independently licensed therapists themselves or complete their master’s program.
Qualifications of the candidate:
Licensed in the state of Minnesota as an LICSW
An approved supervisor by the LICSW board, and preferably also the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy
Client-centered, systemic, and trauma-informed
Able to work collaboratively with a team of supervisors and their trainees, as well as independently to review documentation
Preference given to a clinician with a minimum of 1 years supervising
Responsibilities of the Position:
Provide clinical supervision to prelicensed clinicians and take responsibility for their documentation and compliance.
Weekly individual supervision and group supervision for full-time clinicians
Read and approve documentation written by supervisees
Regular evaluation of supervisees
Support ethical decision-making and professional growth of supervisees
Attend monthly supervisor team meetings, monthly one-on-one meetings with the clinical director, and all-staff meetings
All clinical supervisors at SBCC provide direct client care by maintaining a caseload of their own clients.
