Position Overview: The First Shift Foot Patrol Security Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the designated premises during the daytime hours. Employed under the security department, this position involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents as needed. The officer serves as a visible deterrent to potential security threats while also providing assistance and support to individuals within the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Foot Patrols: Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned areas, including interior and exterior spaces, to detect and deter any unauthorized activities, safety hazards, or security breaches.

2. Observation and Reporting: Maintain vigilant observation of surroundings, identifying suspicious behavior, unusual occurrences, or safety concerns. Promptly report findings to appropriate personnel or authorities as per company protocols.

3. Access Control: Monitor access points, verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, and enforce access control procedures.

4. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests by offering assistance, directions, and information as required. Serve as a friendly and approachable point of contact for inquiries or assistance.

5. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, such as medical emergencies, fires, or security incidents. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks, secure the area, and assist emergency responders.

6. Incident Management: Document all incidents, disturbances, or security-related events accurately and thoroughly in incident reports. Assist in the investigation of incidents and cooperate with law enforcement or other authorities as necessary.

7. Patrol Documentation: Maintain detailed patrol logs, recording activities, observations, and notable incidents encountered during patrols. 

8. Adherence to Policies: Always adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and security protocols. Follow instructions from supervisors or management regarding security assignments, priorities, or special instructions.

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 6 am-6 pm.

Pay Rate: 15.00 hourly

Hours are variable and can change based on the needs of the business.

Qualifications

• 20-hour Certificate
• Current Active Perc Card
• Read, Write, and, Speak English
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Physically fit to stand/walk 8 hours
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in security.
• Excellent observation skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to detect unusual behavior or security threats.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse individuals in a professional manner.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform foot patrols and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, making sound decisions in fast-paced or challenging situations.
