Job Description: Residential Security Officer (Second Shift)
Position Overview: The Residential Security Officer for the second shift plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of residents within the assigned residential community during evening hours. This position involves monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and responding to security incidents as necessary. The officer serves as a visible presence, fostering a sense of safety and well-being among residents while enforcing security protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points of the residential community, ensuring only authorized individuals gain access. Verify credentials of residents, guests, and visitors, and enforce access control policies to maintain the security of the premises.
Patrols and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of residential buildings, common areas, and surrounding grounds to detect and deter any suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards. Utilize surveillance cameras and other security equipment to monitor areas effectively.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical emergencies, disturbances, or security incidents. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks, secure the area, and assist residents as needed. Coordinate with emergency services and law enforcement agencies when required.
Incident Management: Document all security-related incidents, disturbances, or notable events accurately and thoroughly in incident reports. Assist in the investigation of incidents, gather evidence, and provide testimony as necessary. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to residents, addressing their inquiries, concerns, or requests promptly and effectively. Serve as a point of contact for residents regarding security-related issues, community policies, or emergency procedures.
Community Relations: Foster positive relationships with residents, property management, homeowner associations, and other stakeholders within the residential community. Collaborate with community leaders to address security concerns, implement preventive measures, and enhance the overall safety environment.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce residential community rules, regulations, and safety protocols consistently and impartially. Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance issues, or compliance violations, and report findings to appropriate authorities for resolution.
Security Technology: Familiarize yourself with security systems, access control systems, and other technological tools used for monitoring and securing the residential premises. Ensure proper functioning of equipment and report any malfunctions for timely repair or maintenance.

Shift: Thursday- Sunday, 5 pm- 11 pm
Pay rate: 15.80 hourly
Hours are variable and can change based on the needs of the business.
