Your Role

Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where multitasking is key and you’re not afraid to jump right in? If so, we have the perfect role for you! We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Workplace Experience Specialist to assist with the day-to-day office operations, in-person/virtual events logistics, and so much more! This person must love working in a fast-paced environment, have a strong sense of ownership, and take initiative even amongst ambiguity. This role will report to the People Operations Manager and together you will tackle a multitude of projects to continue making Second Dinner a best place to work! We are so excited to add the sixth person to our small but mighty People Team. Note: Based on the responsibilities for this position, it is not eligible for remote status and must be located within commutable distance to Irvine, CA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing the team inbox, assisting with new hire onboarding, etc.

  • Assist with in-person events including coordinating travel logistics, planning activities, documentation, working with vendors, and executing the events

  • Organize virtual events to help build team engagement, as well as celebrate diversity and inclusion

  • Assist with recognition and rewards, creating swag, and ideating on gifting ideas for employees and corporate partners.

  • Responsible for creating, ordering, inventorying, and distributing company gifts

  • Create, send, and track vendor and third-party contracts created from our pre-approved templates

  • Be the main point of contact for our Irvine HQ when it comes to any in-office needs for employees and visitors

  • Manage all office operations, including ordering/restocking supplies, communication with building management, company voicemails, etc.

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of packages and mail including scanning and distributing as necessary

  • Various ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks may come up to support the team and business needs.

  • Contribute to a happy, positive, and inclusive culture at Second Dinner

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven experience in a similar administrative support role within the gaming or tech startup environment strongly preferred

  • Ability to work at least 3 times a week from our Irvine HQ office

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems, juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with standard business software, G Suite/ Office 365 and comfortable with learning new technology/platforms

  • Ability to carry and lift up to 25 lbs for shipping and receiving

  • Passion for creating a positive employee experience

Nice to Have, But Not Necessary:

  • Experience assisting with corporate events, including travel logistics and team onsite/offsite planning.

  • Experience working with external vendors and managing inventory

  • Experience supporting a fully remote team

  • Passionate about gaming

The total compensation for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 USD equity comprehensive benefits potential for discretionary performance bonuses.

Individual pay within this salary range may span multiple levels within the discipline and is determined by assessed job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training. It also factors in market demands and business needs. The disclosed range is not adjusted based on location and may be subject to change or modification based on business needs in the future. Your recruiter can answer any questions about new hire total compensation during the hiring process.
