Position Overview:
As our Behavioral Healthcare Prior Authorization Request Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients receive the care they need when they need it. Your primary responsibility will involve crafting compelling prior authorization requests that effectively communicate the clinical necessity and justification for specific treatments or interventions. You'll collaborate closely with our clinical team, insurance providers, and external stakeholders to advocate for our clients and streamline the authorization process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop thorough and persuasive prior authorization requests for behavioral healthcare services and interventions.
- Collaborate with clinicians to gather relevant clinical information and ensure alignment with insurance requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, guidelines, and industry regulations related to prior authorizations.
- Communicate effectively with insurance representatives, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely authorization approvals.
- Track and document prior authorization requests, approvals, denials, and appeals in accordance with company protocols.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in behavioral healthcare, prior authorization writing, or healthcare insurance coordination.
- Strong understanding of clinical terminology, diagnostic criteria, and treatment modalities in behavioral health.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex clinical information clearly and persuasively.
