Job Description: Prior Authorization Specialist
Pay: $16 - $18hr Monday thru Friday (Part-time 4 hours daily) You pick your work times.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process prior authorization requests for dental procedures and treatments
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for requested services
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations
- Collaborate with dental providers to gather required documentation for submission
- Ensure all prior authorization requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of all prior authorization activities
- Stay up-to-date with insurance guidelines and policies related to prior authorizations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, treatments, and terminology
- Familiarity with dental insurance plans and prior authorization processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications for data entry and record keeping
