General Purpose of Job
This position is responsible to prepare AutoCAD drawings, cable schedules, conduit schedules, and bill of materials for substation projects; prepare drawings for site evaluations and substation modifications; coordinate designs for construction with civil engineers; coordinate designs for construction with protection and controls engineers; keep substation one line diagrams updated and forwarded to appropriate departments; maintain all substation disciplines as-built files and issue as required.

Education
Minimum | 2 Year / Associate Degree | Major: | design, engineering, engineering technology or related field |
Experience
Minimum | Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the design of electric utility substations and developing construction plans and highly skilled use of AutoCAD. |
Preferred | Experience with design components for distribution substations including single line diagrams, general arrangements, and protection systems. |
Preferred | Experience or similar work with an electric utility or related industry. |
Education and/or Experience Notes
Qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. |

Driving Requirements: Valid Florida Driver’s License
