South Seattle College's Georgetown campus is building a new model for the future and seeks a candidate with strong student/customer service skills and administrative office experience to join our team. The Program Coordinator is a full-time, classified position in the Enrollment Services and Instructional divisions of South Seattle College's Georgetown campus. This position reports directly to the Program Manager, coordinates work with the Enrollment Services Manager, and is responsible for carrying out specific standard operations and functions of these departments. The Program Coordinator serves as first point of contact for prospective and current students, and the public and provides comprehensive assistance with the enrollment process, including registration, tuition and resource and referrals. This position also supports specific administrative back-office functions using tools such as Liquid Office, excel spreadsheets and the online database system ctcLink PeopleSoft.

This is an on-campus, in-person role with some options for occasional remote work.
What you will be working on:
  • Serve as first point of contact for Georgetown campus. Provide front desk enrollment customer service; Assist students with online, in-person and batch quarterly registration, schedule, parking, and tuition processes.
  • Enter, change, update student information in the CTCLink student management system
  • Refer students, staff, and partners appropriately through a working knowledge of Georgetown and SSC departments and staff.
  • Share responsibility for answering incoming inquiries (phone, email, chat, live) and assisting callers with accurate information in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist the Enrollment Manager as needed with enrollment reports and add/drops to ensure proper registration (Fee pay status, residential status) and tuition balances.
  • Assist the Instructional Program Manager as needed with fiscal and instructional functions such as travel, inter-departmental and Credit card transactions, supply/materials ordering, invoice tracking.
  • Provide and receive back up as a team member for vacation/sick leave.
  • Coordinate logistics for program meetings and events (e.g., Advisory, Grants, etc.)
  • Perform functions in and continue ongoing training in the ctcLink PeopleSoft system.
What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2 years of work in a customer service industry or equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently under pressure within a multi-task environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with students, staff, and faculty in a welcoming and professional manner, in person, by phone and by email.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral format.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multi-ethnic and culturally diverse populations.
  • Experience with MS Office software (Excel, Work, Outlook) to prepare reports, compose business correspondence and respond to student email requests.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak times
