Seattle Childrens Hospital is Hiring a Research Coordinator I - Licensed (RN) Near Seattle, WA

Responsibilities

Responsible to create, organize and submit IRB documents and follow through with approvals. Provides leadership and coordination of pediatric clinical research studies at Seattle Children's. Organize the planning and implementation of clinical research studies in accordance with current regulatory guidelines for clinical research in children. Act as a resource for research and clinical staff participating in implementation of clinical research trials.

Join a highly engaged and collaborative team with a passion for child health research. For this study we will be conducting observational study visits with healthy children ages 12 - 14 over the next couple years. This position will assist with research related procedures and clinical assessments (i.e. anthropometrics, blood pressure, biospecimen collection, spirometry). The ideal candidate for this role will be outgoing, have pediatric phlebotomy skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience with telemetry or EKG interpretation and working with EPIC or a similar EHR are also preferred. Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

  • BS in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience, to include a combination of the following:
  • Pediatric experience.
  • Research experience.

Required Credentials:

  • Current Washington State licensure to practice nursing.
  • At time of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions.
  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • As a condition of employment: Current BLS for Health Care Providers is to be maintained at all times by all nurses.
  • Note: current PALS and/or PEARS will be accepted in lieu of BLS, and must be maintained as current at all times.
  • Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position. (ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above.).
  • Nurses working in select Research departments may additionally be required to obtain PEARS within 6 months of employment, or may be required to obtain PALS within 3 months of employment.
  • PEARS or PALS is to be maintained at all times.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Environmental Health Experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in assigned clinical research specialty area.
  • Completion of the Ethics Course recognized by Seattle Children’s IRB.

Min to Max Hourly Salary

$44.46 - $66.69 /hr

Min to Max Annual Salary

$92,476.80 - $138,715.20 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
