Position: Sewing Operator - Commercial Sewing Machine Operator

Job Overview:

Sewing Operators are responsible for the construction of our world class seat covers. The job requires the use of a commercial grade sewing machine and the ability to problem solve challenges to ensure efficiency and quality.

Job Duties:

• Interpret existing patterns to produce finished products.
• Provide feedback on patterns and product construction, including ways to improve manufacturability.
• Sew various fabrics.
• Maintain inventory of product and project materials.
• Develop written work instructions and create reports/production documentation.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines and cleaning of the work area.
• May be required to learn to operate additional production equipment (seam seal, label machine, etc...)
• Additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• One year experience using commercial sewing machines preferred.
• Ability to understand, comprehend and provide feedback on flat patterns and other documentation including technical specifications, and bill of materials.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to show initiative and work with little supervision.
• High level of attention to detail and organization skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, and conscientious.

Employment Type:

• Full-time, 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri.
• Overtime as needed and/or occasional Saturday’s.
• Pay DOE.
• Bi-weekly payday (every other Friday)
