Title: Shift Lead

Reports to: Store Manager

Summary of Position

The Shift Lead is a key holder/front line supervisory position who is the manager on duty supervising shifts and in the absence of the stores SM/ASM will fill for those roles. This position is critical to our culture and maintaining a consistent operational flow. A successful Shift lead will be a rockstar and have mastered all positions in the restaurant but has a keen ability to inspire those around them to achieve levels beyond his/her own! Expectations

  • Have fun and engage with our teammates & guests!
  • Mastery level understanding and execution of food standards, policies, procedures, specifications, guidelines of back of house operations.
  • Responsible for general office operations, including organizing & conducting store meetings, preparing business correspondence, working with MS Office /G-Suite & internal intranet software on a constant basis, Manage all supervisory administrative tasks, including cash handling, receiving, inventory and payroll related tasks.
  • Leads and motivates shift to meet and exceed financial and operational goals while maintaining a positive work environment and keeping the store clean and organized.
  • Supporting the ongoing growth and development of all team members but providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Responsible for ensuring that his/her shift, including leadership team members, have opportunities for learning new and existing menu items and assists in translating such knowledge into effective sales.
  • Responsible assignments from leadership team that could include inventory management, receiving, guest service, cash handling, bookkeeping, long- and short-term planning and staff scheduling.
  • Ensures that each guest receives a timely and accurate order and has an above average shopping and/or pick-up experience.
  • Effectively communicate with all members of staff as well as assesses performance, and provide feedback on a regular basis.
  • Execute and exceed guest service, compliance and other related standards.
  • Maintains all merchandising standards, displays, and monitors inventory levels for his/her shift before taking over and restocking is complete for the next shift.
  • Plans and assigns daily goals via the portal to include tasks and assignments to ensure restaurant standards are exceeded.
  • Assists in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports through the shift.
  • Communicates all shift initiatives, expectations, and company information is shared with the team clearly and in a timely manner, as appropriate.
  • Assists in adjusting strategies on going (pivoting) to changing business conditions.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by ASM and SM.

Working Conditions

  • This is a hella fast paced environment, must work quickly and efficiently.
  • Our peak times are typically evenings, holidays, weekends so you will no doubt have to work those times!
  • If there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean; restock stations, replace sanitation buckets & wipe down, disinfecting all surfaces, clean and restock condiment stations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be 21 years of age.
  • All positions require good health and physical stamina lifting 25-30lbs on the regular.
  • Our team typically have to work their share of weekends, evenings, and holidays. (Students must arrange work schedules that allow them to attend classes)
  • Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Reading and writing proficiency
  • We work really hard; all positions require good health physical stamina and a neat appearance at all times!

Supervisor Responsibility

Shift Leaders engage in supervision responsibility for scheduled shifts. The Shift Lead will also be responsible to lead their shifts to achieve store and company collective goals, Coach, Mentor and Succession Plan the future leaders!

We work really hard around here; you must work quickly and efficient to get the job done with exceptional ability to see the details and work beyond the standards. There is no time to lean or slack off, your peers are counting on you to do your part and you can expect to always be on your feet.

Our peak times are weekends so if you are looking for an office job m-f this probably isn’t for you. You can expect to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
