SOBER HOUSE/RECOVERY HOUSE MANAGER (QUANNACUT CLINIC) - LOCATED IN RIVERHEAD/FLANDERS
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Quannacut Outpatient Services seeks an experienced Sober House Manager to work directly with people in early recovery, providing structure and support while seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance use disorder. The Sober House Manager oversees daily operations of the residence. This includes managing and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks, facilitating weekly House Meetings, conducting inspections, making arrangements for random drug testing, and coordination with outpatient treatment staff, as well as providing safe environment for clients in early recovery.
Required Qualifications:
BLS/First Aid
Ability to maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Personal or professional experience with individuals in recovery
High School education or equivalent GED
Physical Demands:
Must be able to respond quickly in an emergent situation
Must be able to communicate orally in an emergent situation
Must be able to use stairs in an emergent situation
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing
Extended periods of sitting in a vehicle and driving
Must be able to fully participate in Crisis Prevention
Preferred Qualifications:
A combination of relevant work experience, education/professional certification (ie. CASAC, CARC, CRPA) and personal experience will also be considered.
Knowledge of community resources as demonstrated by one year continuous professional, personal, or educational experience in the healthcare field.
Minimum of one year experience in an outpatient setting the capacity of case management, or more concrete services for referrals or housing.
If a person is in recovery, two years of sustained sobriety.
Experience with managing residential program(s).

Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services*
Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen*
Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
