SeaChange Printing and Marketing Services LLC is Hiring an Estimator Near Plymouth, MN

Description

The Estimator is responsible for accurate and timely estimates utilizing an integrated ERP system. They will work directly with our sales team and operations to assure we are able to provide competitive bids to our clients timely. The Ideal Candidate for this role will be organized, quality conscious and will thrive in an environment guided by our core Values; Positive, Respectful, Innovative, Nimble and Trustworthy.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create accurate written Estimates, outlining the production method(s) to manufacture a given product, reflecting the corresponding sell price. Including clearly written communication covering the parameters to which the Estimate was created.

• Approach each Estimate request with a sense of urgency. Prioritize your workload in conjunction with the team workload, according to established parameters.

• Thoroughly review each project to determine the best plan to achieve cost control, desired production results, and client satisfaction.

• Recommend alternative production or construction methods as appropriate to control costs, exceed client expectations, and follow sound production methods.

• Work closely with Purchasing regarding preferred vendors and current material costs, as well as the Account Management and Scheduling teams to establish workload priorities.

• Make recommendations for manufacturing methods, run rate and/or waste changes.

• Participate in Contract Review meetings; assist in identifying potential problems and work to develop solutions as required.

• Follow departmental SOPs and Work Instructions and maintain Work Instructions to reflect ongoing process refinements.

• Committed to learning, training, change and continuous process improvement.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Excellent communication and writing skills are essential to appropriately interpret project specs and create accurate written estimates.

• Interaction with vendors, customers and internal clients in a professional manner is a key component of the position.

• Must possess extensive knowledge of prepress, litho / digital printing and finishing processes, high quality standards, mature judgement, and strong organizational work habits.

• Must be self-directed, and operate with a sense of urgency, have background using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook.
