Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineering Technician

Seabrook Solutions is seeking to hire an entry/mid-level Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Technician to an R&D position performing design, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics systems.Candidate must possess a desire to couple conceptual design with hands-on application, utilizing processes ranging from circuit board fabrication and electronics soldering to use of CNC machines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Knowledge of basic electronic theories and principles

·Knowledge of basic RF and Antenna design theories

·Assist in developing prototype electronic circuit boards

·Identify solutions to technical design problems that arise in making electronic/electrical systems

·Proficient in thru hole and surface mount soldering techniques

·Build circuit boards from schematics and bill of materials (BOM’s)

·Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes

·Inspect designs for quality control, report findings, and recommend changes, if necessary

·Draw diagrams and write specifications about design details of experimental electronics units

·Create basic circuitry and draft sketches to clarify details of design

·Calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems

·Repair or replace defective circuitry and electronic components

·Set up equipment and evaluate how the parts, assemblies, or systems perform under simulated conditions

·Analyze test information to resolve design problems

·Perform EMI/RFI checks and resolve problems on electronic components

Education and Experience:

·Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field

·Or, minimum 5 years' experience in electronics maintenance

·Embedded systems software development is of value, but not necessary

·Programming with C/C and Python of value, but not necessary
