Sea Captain’s House has been a favorite of the Grand Strand for over 60 years. We are a high-volume, fast-paced, award-winning, oceanfront restaurant that is looking for experienced Bartenders to join our team! As a Bartender, you will create a memorable experience for our guests by providing excellent customer service, serving craft cocktails and other highly curated alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and other related duties. This role offers $6.25 per hour plus tips. 

Responsibilities

Bartender responsibilities, but are not limited to;

• Contribute to customer satisfaction by accurately serving customers their beverage orders in a quick and courteous manner
• Prepare craft cocktails and other beverages
• Perform opening, mid-shift, closing side work to ensure seamless transitions between shifts
• Suggestively sell appropriate beverage, cocktail and food items
• Acquire a working knowledge of the restaurants POS system in order to ring in orders and process bills
• Understand and follows all state laws and company policies for beverage service
• Handle difficult situations effectively
• Keep supervisor and host fully informed of all problems, customer dissatisfaction and/or unusual matters of significance
• Acquire a working knowledge of property, in-house facilities and local information to respond to customer questions in these areas as required
• Provide prompt customer turn-around by assisting with bussing and setting of tables
• Be willing to assist other team members
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Prior experience as a Bartender strongly preferred
• Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and stand for long periods of time
• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
