We are seeking an experienced buyer who can lead negotiations and source mechanical commodities. This position is ideal for someone who can take ownership, think innovatively, collaborate, and manage the purchasing process. Additionally, you can quickly develop strong relationships, work complex discussions, be agile and adaptable. Possessing a strong background in negotiating and global benchmarking is essential. Finally, your role includes being a team player and managing procurement from PO issuance to delivery. Responsibilities

• Drive, source, and negotiate mechanical commodity-related purchases
• Negotiate and maintain commercial terms for supplier rebates and pricing agreements
• Identify cost savings, meet efficiency targets to acquire materials and services, and use benchmarking to ensure suppliers are competitive
• Ensure compliance with all corporate sourcing policies and procedures
• Prepare RFQs, solicit bids and analyze quotes
• Negotiate and buy materials, products, and services using time, quality, and price guidelines and coordinate technical alignment
• Follow company sourcing policies to prepare recommendations, identify preferred suppliers, and submit proposals
• Abide by contractual rules and company policies to issue Purchasing Orders and pursue and negotiate recovery costs
• Identify and implement ways to make tasks or processes more efficient
• Demonstrate knowledge and be perceived as an "internal point of reference" and a "subject matter" expert who shares and educates others
• Listen and understand the needs of the customer both internally and externally
• Performs other related duties as required

Requirements

• 3-5 years of buying experience and a bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Experience buying fab and machine components
• Expert negotiation skills and success working with internal teams and the suppliers
• Able to make sound decisions during stressful situations
• Experience working with commercial contracts and laws; possessing an understanding of international trade rules is a plus
• Proficient at performing cost analysis, basic accounting, commodity market pricing, and financial reporting
• Knowledgeable in logistics, basic manufacturing processes, reading blueprints, and commercial component specifications
