Scuba Now is Hiring a Retail Sales Associate Near Wilmington, NC
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Scuba Sales Associate. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about scuba diving and interested in a career in retail sales within the diving industry. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling scuba gear, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Answer store phone and respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate scuba gear based on their needs and preferences
- Promote products to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and industry trends
- Perform light cleaning and organizing duties to ensure a neat and welcoming store environment
- Attend scuba certification courses provided by the company, progressing from Open Water to Dive Master level
Requirements:
- Ability to swim proficiently and lift a minimum of 35lbs
- Good physical health with the ability to withstand the demands of the job
- Willingness to become scuba certified from open water to dive master (certification provided at no cost to employee)
- Previous swimming experience preferred
- Motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
- Available to work Monday-Friday from 11am to 6pm and Saturdays from 11am to 3pm
Compensation:
- Base pay with commission incentives based on sales performance
- Employee discounts on scuba gear and equipment
- Free scuba certification from open water to dive master
(While product familiarity is a plus, it is not mandatory, training will be provided)
