What you'll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Develop and implement a strategic IT plan aligned with the overall business objectives and manufacturing goals.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT initiatives that support plant operations.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure to support plant operations.
  • Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of plant IT systems, networks, and hardware.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with vendors to procure necessary IT equipment, software, and services.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard plant data and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within IT operations and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Work closely with plant management, production teams, and other departments to understand IT needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the corporate IT team to align plant IT operations with broader organizational strategies.
  • Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, making adjustments as needed.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout Motors colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 7 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the integration of IT solutions.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are preferred.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position, eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000 - $155,000
