Scout Clean Energy is Hiring a Capital Markets Senior Analyst Near Boulder, CO

As Scout’s Capital Markets Senior Analyst, you will play an integral role in capital raising activities for our growing portfolio of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects. We expect a high volume of transactions in the next 3-5 years and are expanding the team to support that growth.

In this position, you will provide key support to project finance, corporate finance, and capital recycling transactions. Beyond your financial modeling and analysis, your work will include a combination of engagement with capital providers (debt, tax equity, and equity), day-to-day management of transactions, and collaboration with teams across the organization. Your deal-oriented mindset will enable you to craft optimal capital solutions, identify and manage diligence risks, and efficiently drive transactions to close – all while integrating the Scout Values in the way you work and relate to others.

Key duties in your role will include the following:

  • Own transactions across the investment lifecycle – from origination to financial modeling, board approvals, due diligence, definitive documentation, and deal closing.
  • Draft compelling transaction marketing materials for distribution to prospective lenders and investors.
  • Analyze term sheets and proposals to support recommendations for optimal financing structures to senior management.
  • Maintain transaction models for debt, tax equity, and other equity processes.
  • Lead transaction due diligence and interface with external financing parties and consultants.
  • Collaborate with our Development, Commercial, EPC, and Asset Management teams to collect, organize, and manage transaction deliverables in external data rooms.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external counsel, advisors, and providers of debt, tax equity, and equity capital to optimize our project financings.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

You will report to Scout’s Senior Manager or Associate Director of Project Finance / Capital Markets and will work alongside a high performing team of Analysts.

Key duties in your role will include the following:

  • Develop and maintain fully structured (tax equity, debt and cash equity) internal financial model with recent project and corporate assumptions.
  • Coordinate with many different departments internally to update financial models.
  • Leverage your subject matter expertise to direct and deliver scenario modeling for investment decisions and contract negotiations.
  • Support project finance and M&A transactions, including initiating and responding to due diligence and interfacing with investors and other counterparties and business partners.
  • Assist in building models, tools, process, and infrastructure that supports the organization's accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
  • Assist in managing construction loan drawdowns and financing agreement compliance.
  • Assist with project budgeting and corporate reporting.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
