ROLE
The Healthcare Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and management of a large, complex project and/or multiple projects involving healthcare facilities. This includes meeting financial, schedule, and quality benchmarks as well as client goals. The Healthcare Project Manager provides leadership to the SLC team to maximize team strength, develop staff and act as a liaison to owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Participate in planning of project budgets and RFP packages (if indicated)
-Oversee job site safety and quality control
-Coordinate and collaborate with Superintendent and site team on scheduling, sub coordination, and material delivery
-Prepare and update master schedule, as required
-Establish and communicate job processes, including RFIs, RCOs, owner invoices, provide approval prior to submission
-Conduct project meetings and OAC meetings, including preparation/review of executive summary
-Prepare owner and miscellaneous invoices including retention management
-Update cost reports on a timely basis and attend all financial operations meetings
-Manage job(s) close-out in a timely and cost-effective manner, including final punchlist preparation
-Supervise project team and provide training to assistant PMs, project engineers and project administrators, including employee reviews, lead inhouse training programs
-Job completion on-time and within budget
QUALIFICATIONS
-Four-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, construction management or business
-5-7 years experience in the construction industry with commercial project management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing healthcare projects
- Ground-up experience is required
- Experiencing running multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with large and/or complex commercial projects
- Must have base-building, ground-up structure experience
-Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Sage, Adobe, Bluebeam
-Working knowledge of estimating, sub buyout, scope, risk management, scheduling and change orders
- Understanding of project accounting and ability to regularly update/manage cost reports
-Team leader committed to training with a passion for helping team members reach their potential
-Commitment to excellence and to “do the right thing”
-Relationship driven, with colleagues, owners, subs, vendors and potential clients
