Responsibilities

Scosche is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role you will design for a diverse range of consumer electronic products, with a primary focus on USB chargers, wireless chargers, and power banks, while also supporting other product lines such as Bluetooth, health and fitness devices, and vehicle integration solutions.

Requirements

· Various power supply topologies including buck, boost, and buck/boost. 

· Experience with USB Power Delivery, including PPS and Shared Capacity functionalities.

· Familiarity with Qi wireless charging technology

· Ability to draft product specifications and test procedures.

· Organize and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, schematics, layouts, and engineering changes. 

· Evaluate supplier’s designs and optimize to achieve goals such as performance, compactness, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

· Ability to diagnose and improve EMC, thermal, safety and compliance issues.

· Participate in root cause analysis and recommend corrective action.

· Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Product Managers, Project Managers and Engineers, as well as supplier’s engineering teams.

· Stay updated on the latest technologies and solutions and provide recommendations on their application.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

· Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Occasional international travel required.

· Ability to collaborate and communicate both written and verbal with counterparts in our US Office. 

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

· 2 - 5 years’ experience in power electronics preferred
