Housing Specialist
*Collaborates with Case Managers on the subsidy funds initiated.
*Assists individual consumers and/or property owners in completing forms;
*Provides residents, tenants, and landlords with information through regularly scheduled briefing and workshop sessions.
*Coordinates high and medium risk cases with Housing Resources.
*Assembles information for the completion of necessary forms and for the preparation of reports.
*Organizes, maintains and purges various departmental and client files.
*Prepares and types correspondence, reports, forms, contracts and specialized documents from drafts, notes, dictated tapes, or brief instructions, using a computer.
*Proof-reads and checks typed and other documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with departmental policies and regulations.
*Enters and retrieves data on a daily basis and monitors a database.
*All other duties are as assigned or deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but may be substituted with a High School Diploma or Associates Degree and a Real Estate License.
Prior experience in housing counseling, business, real estate, accounting or property management a plus.
A Valid NYS Driver’s License.
