Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our client, a national non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of blind and visually impaired individuals based out of Brooklyn Center, MN.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining crucial financial reports while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

What you will be doing:

• Preparing and maintaining financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Recording and maintaining general ledger activity across all accounts
• Calculating, processing, and posting financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness
• Verifying and maintaining data integrity in financial records
• Providing monthly financial reports to support decision-making processes.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Collaborating with the CFO to analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement.
• Adhering to financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

What you will need:

• 1-2 years of experience in nonprofit accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and intermediate Excel skill
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely financial records with attention to detail.
