Science Technology is Hiring a Technical Writer Near Edgewood, MD
The Technical Writer will work as member of a diverse team supporting a government customer with the development of novel Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) defense systems. The Writer will write, edit, finalize logistics technical documents related to developmental equipment/systems including military Technical Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, and Operator’s Manuals.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, finalize, and update technical, maintenance, and operator’s manuals for developed systems or equipment by following Army Regulations e.g., AR 700-127 and 25-30.
- Create other documents and/or graphics for written products.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD/DA Secret Security Clearance.
- Candidate must have 5 years of experience creating and editing the logistics technical documents discussed above. Candidate must have excellent English language oral and writtencommunication skills and expertise with MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other related software products.
- A bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or a related field is preferred.
