OVERVIEW:

To mask football and other helmets using the proper masking model, precisely and efficiently so they can be painted according to team specifications. This position will combine our “masking model” with your attention to detail to produce helmets that will look great while they protect our customers, from the Pee-Wees to the Pros.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Precisely and efficiently mask helmets for painting following the appropriate masking model.
2. Comprehend Standard Operating Procedures and follow them in order to produce quality parts and maintain equipment properly.
3. Cleans and prepares surface of items to be painted. Read and comprehend shop orders and paint label tags. Identify correct shells, sanding repaints, decal application, tape application.
4. Understands, can trouble shoot, and correct typical paint defects, and can help with process improvements.
5. Matches Paint to Samples.
6. Looks for ways to improve output and eliminate rework submits ideas monthly or as identified to improve output, reduce scrap, eliminate rework.
