As a Customer Service Technician, you will utilize your customer-facing expertise and technical proficiency to contribute to the department's success. Your familiarity with the insurance industry, cloud infrastructure, industry technology integration, strategic planning, and customer advocacy will be vital in your daily responsibilities. You will oversee the interface configuration and procedural aspects of our Applied Epic agency management system. Regular interaction with various stakeholder groups, including clients, brokers, underwriters, and management, will be a key aspect of your role. Leveraging advanced technology, we aim to enhance departmental efficiency and adaptability to meet evolving agency requirements.

Responsibilities


In the daily download process and managing interface configuration, your responsibilities will include:

?

· Retrieving and processing documents from various carrier websites.

· Manually updating policies and endorsements in Epic for items not downloaded.

· Inputting data into PL Rater and carrier websites for quoting, policy changes, and reviews.

· Ensuring accuracy and completion of policy and billing requests through follow-up.

· Corresponding with clients as needed to provide information or confirmation.

· Processing billing for agency-billed policies.

· Preparing and distributing Evidence of Insurance, Policy Documentation, Auto ID Cards, and other requested correspondence under the Director's guidance.

· Electronically scanning documents for attachment in Epic.

· Monitoring carrier websites and notifications to track, report, update, and configure commission schedules in Epic.

· Assisting Sales Executives by maintaining a calendar for scheduling client conferences (phone/video) and meetings.

· Conducting online research and data gathering as directed.

· Undertaking any additional tasks as requested by the Director.

Requirements


· An Indiana Property and Casualty License is required

· Type at a minimum of 50 wpm

· At least 2-4 years of experience in the insurance industry

· Basic Insurance knowledge (Auto, Life, Property & Casualty)

· Technically inclined and comfortable with various online systems

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

· Willingness to conduct independent research and seek guidance for clarification or problem-solving as needed.

· Proficiency in effectively prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities concurrently.

· Adherence to departmental workflow processes.

· Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Services, and Zoom.

· Eagerness to embrace new technologies and concepts, with a proactive approach to learning and contributing as part of a collaborative team.

· Previous experience in Personal Lines insurance is advantageous.

High school diploma or GED.
