Scholars Academy seeks an enthusiastic and organized preschool teaching director who must have administrative units to join our amazing team to help us achieve our vision. Scholars Academy, located in the heart of Evergreen Valley, offers the best-in-class learning experience for students ages 2-10. Founded in 1983, Scholars Academy is a nonsectarian private school that prides itself on providing a safe and nurturing schooling environment.This individual will have a hand in growing our Preschool program and have a direct impact on our students, parents and staff members. This is a full time role (part time director and part time teacher) that requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, collaboration, ownership, flexibility, problem solving mentality and a “can-do” attitude.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Implementing age appropriate project-based activities ● Helping in daily operation of the classroom ● Supporting students with daily activities (playtime, snacks, naptime, etc) ● Enthusiastically communicating student’s progress to parents ● Participating in staff meetings and other school organized events ● Effectively communicating with students, parents and staff members ● Maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment ● Managing school operations and identifying new processes ● Ensuring a safe and healthy environment and practicing all licensing, safety and health protocols regulations and procedures ● Following school policies ● Developing, managing and implementing curriculum and educational activities
● Must be able to cover any teacher, if required ● Additional duties as assigned

Director and Teacher Qualifications include:● 12 ECE units and admin units required ● At least 1 year of teaching experience ● CPR and First Aid certified ● Covid-19 Vaccine required ● Strong computer skills (Gmail, Google docs, etc.) ● Ability to effectively prioritize work duties and adapt quickly ● Strong written and oral communication skills ● Team player and collaborator ● Values being honest, compassionate and nurturing Benefits of working at Scholars Academy include: ● Competitive compensation ● Referral bonus ● Medical benefits offered
